This new glass inside marking technique uses high intensity focused laser beam to induce nonlinear absorption phenomena within transparent material, and as a result, microscopic cracks are generated on a localized spot, which makes the spot look white by multiple light reflection. Desired image is created point by point with laser beam being moved in two or three dimensions. Letters, logotypes and real three dimensional pictures can be engraved inside of glass or other transparent materials using this device. 3-D glass engraver is applicable in industrial glass products marking, for example glass bottle, glass plate. Art glass, windows or mirrors can also be marked for decoration or advertising purposes.
